The RJ 85 is the successor to the
Bae 146. Major changes included:
• Honeywell L507 engines giving increased thrust
& reduced maintenance schedule
• All new avionics giving Cat IIIa landing
capability
• Improved aerodynamics giving higher cruise
altitudes & increased range
UK Direct Airways RJ85's are based at Jersey and
Stansted.
