For an airliner that has seen over 40 years of service, the 727 has had a remarkable service life. 1831 were built with many still in service today.

UKD 727s are based at Stansted. UKCs 727 operate from Manston.

UKC Hermes has had an additional 13000lbs cargo added. Consequently this reduces the amount of fuel that can be carried before reaching MTOW. Great care must be taken on the approach phase. Get below the power curve and you will quickly discover the 727 has similar flight characteristics to a regular housebrick.
