UKS gets in the Festive Spirit
This weekend saw the insertion of a new,
festive route into the UKS schedule with weekend flights to Lapland.
Operating on a single flight per day to cater for the day trip
sector, the route will be available every weekend up to and including
Christmas Eve. The aircraft used for this route will be UKSuns
reliable (ahem!) 737 'Casper', which means that over December,
any routes Casper flew on a Weekend are withdrawn.
THIS ROUTE HAS NOW BEEN CLOSED.

UKSun Receives New Airbus A320
Ahead of the scheduled delivery date,
UK Sun's second Airbus A320-200 was delivered to it's Stansted
hub yesterday. Bearing the registration G-UKSM with it's fleet
name of Magellan, after the famous explorer, a pre-service check
flight was conducted to Portugal and back by UKD MD Dean 121.
After final checks are complete (checking
for greenfly stuck on the paint work!) and the official handover
is signed, Magellan will initially share the current routes flown
by UK Sun's other Airbus, Llilani, out of Stansted.
It is envisaged that Magellan will eventually
provide services mainly out of Bournemouth

Maiden Flight Successful
UK Sun's first flight departed London
Stansted this morning bound for Bodrum, Turkey. UKS317, booked
up since tickets went on sale in early May, made good time on
the 3h 30 min flight, landing just shortly after 09:40 BST in
hot and sunny conditions.
On the return journey, a slight delay
was encountered, mainly due to European Airspace congestion, however
UKS318 landed safely back at Stansted just after 14:45 BST.

| UK Sun Starts
Inaugural Flights
After nearly a year with it's assets frozen
(sounds nasty!), UK Sun has finally managed to find the finances
to get it's head back above water. After a few months of hectic
scheduling and recruitment of new staff, flights to Europe and
beyond are scheduled for departure on Monday 21st June. The first
flight, UKS317, is expected to be undertaken by UK Sun's oldest
plane, Shani.
At the present time, due to fleet restrictions,
flights will depart mainly from London Stansted, with limited
services being operated from Bournmouth International.
Flight UKS317 is due to depart London
Stansted for Bodrum, Turkey at 06:05.
